Leading for Freedom

Rachel Woods, Vice President of  Programs for TFRW , was the speaker at our August meeting.  She has written a book with Toni Anne Dashiell called “Leading for Freedom, Leadership skills for Republicans”.  This book provides a guide to good conservative leadership and building strong leaders.

Rachel also talked about Victory 2012 and what we as individuals can do to help our Federal candidates.  Since we do not have a Federal PAC, we can all do our part.  We can go to www.MittRomney.com and learn how to get involved in their campaign.

From the website

“Call today and get to know the Phone bank, click on the Get Involved Tab at the top then click on Call from Home

We can organize weekly Calling Parties .  We can email Operation Swing State and get our weekly Romney/Ryan calling party up and running.  Early voting begins in Iowa September 27

So how about calling for 2 hours a week?  Our choice is either make weekly Romney/Ryan phone calls for a few months or have BHO for four more years.

The Operation Swing State web site is:http://www.operationswingstate.org/

The goal is to restore our economic and constitutional freedom and Take Back America in 2012!”

Early voting starts in these swing states on these dates

Iowa – September 27

Ohio – October 2

New Mexico  – October 9

North Carolina – October 18

Nevada – October 20

Colorado & Wisconsin – October 22

Florida  –  October 27

So ladies let’s pick a state and get those calls going.

    Quote of the Month

I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I traveled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer.

And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.

Benjamin Franklin, On the Price of Corn and Management of the Poor, November 1766
