President’s Message

We are beginning the month of February with a bang!

At our last meeting in January, we had a roomful of candidates, supporters and of course our members.  Since that time there have been four candidate forums, one in Terrell, one in Forney, one in Kaufman and one in Becker.  There is one more forums scheduled by the Party, February 13, at Scurry Rosser High School Cafetorium.  We have scheduled two forums to be held by the KCRW,. The first on Thursday, February 20, at Mabank High School, 18786 U.S. 175, Mabank, TX 75147, and the second on Thursday, February 27 at Martin Elementary School, 1)11601 U.S. 175 Frontage Rd, Crandall, TX 75114. These were two areas we felt needed coverage as well.

February 2nd was Groundhog Day with Punxsutawney Phil seeing his shadow for another six weeks of winter.  And it has felt like winter since.
This month has three important birthdays and one holiday.  February  6th was Ronald Reagan’s Birthday, February 12th is Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday and February 22nd is George Washington’s Birthday.  On February 17th, we will celebrate these great men with President’s Day.
