At our May meeting, we honored local law enforcement officers with a panel discussion about their duties and responsibilities. We want to thank Kaufman County Sheriff Brian Beavers, Chief Carrie White from the Forney Police Department and Kaufman County Constable Pct. 3 Matt Woodall for their dedication to our community and their continued service to the law enforcement profession. At this meeting we also conducted the drawing for our 2024 sub-fundraiser – a Quilt Raffle. We want to congratulate Michelle Braud of Elmo who was the winner of this beautiful quilt. Please remember we are fast approaching our regular fundraiser. Bags & Bullets Bingo will be held on Saturday, August 3rd at 6:00 pm at the Kaufman Civic Center. We are currently accepting donations for this fundraiser – silent auction items, designer purse donations and gun donations. Please contact one of the KCRW officers to drop off your donation! Please let us know if you would also like to volunteer at this event. We will need helpers for set up, to bring food/dessert items, and to pass out silent auction items.
