President's Message

What a wonderful and exciting crowd we had for our February meeting.  Our guest speaker was Dallas County Criminal District Attorney, Judge Faith Johnson.  She energized us, as she shared her vision for good government for her county.  It was great to have so many guests at our meeting, and we look forward to them joining KCRW.  In this month of March, we celebrated the creation of the Republican Party.  Former anti-slavery members of the Whig Party met to establish a new party to oppose the spread of slavery into the western territories.  The anti-slavery Whigs had begun meeting to discuss the formation of a new party.  One such meeting, in Wisconsin on March 20, 1854, is generally recognized as the founding meeting of the Republican Party. Be sure to come to our meeting on March 18, 2017.  We are going to have our local police chiefs (within our county) on a panel discussion for our program.  This is a great opportunity to hear from our municipal-level law enforcement.  Good government and law enforcement is everyone’s concern.
