President's Message

Kaufman County Republican Women are on the move; moving  to help our candidates have success on Election Day.  Important dates to remember:  Election Day is November 6, 2018 and early voting is from October 22 through November 2, 2018.  The election is around the corner and it is one of the most important elections that I can remember.  Mid-term elections traditionally are won by the party that didn’t win the White House.  That would mean that the Republicans are predicted to lose Congress.  Those predictions also effect our local and state elections.

We need your help!  We are going to be in the community this month- helping our candidates and getting our voters energized.  This upcoming week is National Night Out, which is an annual community-building campaign promoting police-community partnerships.  Look for your own local Night Out. If you would like to get registered to vote or pick up signs- KCRW will be in the neighborhoods of Heartland and Grayhawk on October 2, 2018.  We can register you and you can get a sign. We would love to see you out if you are in the neighborhood.  October 8, 2018 is our next KCRW meeting. It is at Alfredo’s in Forney at 6:30 pm.  It is our last meeting and lots of planning to finalize our 2nd Annual Bunco Night.  Our fundraiser is on October 13.  Proceeds from Bunco will go to help our candidates.  At the end of the month, KCRW will be at the Scarecrow Festival in Kaufman on October 27.  Great opportunity to come by and become a member of KCRW, early vote and grab a sign for our booth. We need you to volunteer to help with all these events.

I’m looking forward to changing the usual predictions about mid-term elections.  I’m looking forward to the Republican candidates winning locally, state-wide, and nationally; and stopping the blue wave.
