President's Message

I would like to start my first newsletter as your President for 2019 with a sense of gratitude. Thank you for having faith and trust in me to elect me as your president. Believe me when I say I am honored to be the KCRW club president following the previous Presidents before me. I have been in a great position serving under Erleigh Wiley for two consecutive years and being her protege, so to speak, while learning a great deal from her, I can only hope to come close filling her shoes. Thank you Erleigh for your dedication serving as our past president.
So, we have had our first executive meeting and we are heading in a strong an positive direction for 2019. This year we have a place to call home. On the second Monday each month we will be meeting at 6:30 at the Kaufman County Library located in Kaufman at 3790 S. Houston Street. We will have a catered meal from Julio’s so come hungry and ready to hear about the exciting ideas we have brained stormed about for the coming year.
Since this year is a non-election year we are going to have an opportunity to do some community service. The executive board and I have discussed some areas in the community where there is a need and where we could be of great service.  I will bring this to the club on Monday evening. We will resume our membership tea, get a head start on our annual fundraiser, our 3rd annual Bunco game and silent auction. As i said, we have exciting plans for KCRW this year and you will not want to be left out. So, strap on your wheels and come on January 14th and get involved in the fastest growing organization, in  my opinion, in Kaufman county.
