Unfortunately, Kaufman County was again struck with tragedy, with the murders of

Kaufman County District Attorney  Mike  McLelland and his wife and Cynthia.

On Thursday, April 4 a memorial service was held in Sunnyvale with the governor in attendance.

The memorial was well attended by friends, family, co-workers and law enforcement from all over the state.  The Honor Flag ,which flew after the death of Mark Haase, was again raised for Mike and Cynthia.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to their family,and co-workers. The governor announced a donation of an additional $100,000 to Crimestoppers towards the reward for capture and convictions of these perpetrators.

 

 

 

 

 

Congratulations to Toni Anne Dashiell

 Toni Anne was elected our Republican National Committeewoman.  She was elected on April 6, 2013 by the State Republican Executive Committee to serve the unexpired term created by the untimely death of Borah Van Dormolen.  Can’t think of anyone better suited to fill that position.
