President's Message
Club members,
I can’t say enough good things about our membership tea Saturday. Thank you Amy Tarno for the hours and attention you dedicated to making this years membership tea a success. Also, thank you to everyone who either decorated a table, brought the delicious food and desserts and those who brought guests as potential members. I do know that we did I receive some new members on Saturday. I don’t have the names but I know Amy is working on that. At this time with our membership under 30 we are listed as a small club. I know we can grow to a medium 30+ members this year. We have a lot to offer the ladies of Kaufman County and I know we will be a medium club in 2019. Keep up the good work ladies.
On April 24th, women from all around the state of Texas will be gathering at our state capitol for Legislative Day. I am going for the two days which will consist of an evening reception to get to know one another, Bells ‘n Boots, a luncheon, meetings and a trip to our House of Representative office within the capitol. We will convene on state capitol to hear our Legislation in session wearing our Republican Red…showing the democrats we are well and alive. It isn’t too late to get your tickets just log onto TRFW web site and get the details. Come onboard and let’s go to Austin and represent KCRW.
This month our program will be an informative meeting regarding child protection/abuse. April is the month to acknowledge Child protection/abuse and Tracy Gray will be bringing guest speakers to give us some insight on this very sensitive subject. Once again, invite a guest or some one you know who will be enlightened on the subject.
Our meeting is on Monday, April 8th, 6:30 at Alfredo’s Steakhouse & Seafood located 111 E US Hwy 80, Forney, TX 75126.
I will be looking forward to seeing you then.
