We had a great time at the Kaufman Chamber of Commerce “Picnic in the Park” at Shannon Park. We passed out fans, constitutions, brochures (had some interest for membership), played patriotic music and of course had Birthday Cake.
I want to thank Judge Dennis Jones for coming out and reading the Declaration of Independence and for those ladies who were able to volunteer some of their time to work in our booth. The event had water slides, free watermelon, free lemonade, free birthday cake (us) and the American Legion had hot dogs and nachos.
