On Friday, June 6, 2014, the Texas Federation of Republican Women held their Tribute to Women Luncheon during the State Republican Convention in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Our club was allowed one honoree and our own Kaufman County District Attorney, Erleigh N. Wiley was chosen.
District Attorney Wiley has been a member of our club for a number of years and has served numerous officer positions. She has been a delegate to the State Republican Convention several times and is very active in our community.
Last year when an Assistant District Attorney and our District Attorney and his wife were murdered, Erleigh was appointed by Governor Perry to take the position of District Attorney during a very tense time when no one knew who the killer was.
Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, and Ft. Worth Representative Kay Granger attended the luncheon to honor those presented with award.
